Redesign and development of the official website for Cáritas Stavanger, a nonprofit dedicated to social aid and integration. The main goal was to create a modern, accessible and emotionally engaging digital presence to connect with donors, volunteers, and the broader community.
Cáritas Stavanger needed a serious digital makeover. Their old website just wasn’t doing them justice — it didn’t reflect their mission, had clunky navigation, was nowhere to be found in local searches, and worst of all, it failed to connect emotionally with their audience.
So, what were we aiming for? Simple but powerful goals:
Boost visibility in Stavanger and nearby areas.
Make the website easy and accessible for everyone.
Attract more qualified (and interested) visitors.
Showcase their social impact in a human, relatable way.
To tackle this, I rolled up my sleeves and took a tactical approach, mixing strategy and creativity in just the right dose:
Redesigned the UX/UI to focus on clarity and accessibility, making sure every visitor feels welcome.
Created a local SEO strategy to help Cáritas show up where it matters most — in Stavanger and surrounding towns.
Applied storytelling to the content, turning facts into real stories that resonate, build empathy, and earn trust.
Optimized the site for mobile devices and improved loading speeds, because nobody likes waiting.
Behind every design choice and piece of content, there was a clear goal: align Cáritas’ mission with what their local audience was actually looking for.
